Timi, Jodie, Do

Too sexy for your shirt? Don’t throw it away just to buy a new one! Fast fashion is a complex problem that negatively affects the lives of workers thousands of kilometers away from you and harms the environment through water pollution, emission of greenhouse gases and waste generation, among other problems.

One and a half vegan is talking to Jodie who cares about sustainable consumption. Tune in and learn about fast fashion and how to slow it down.

Check out this very interesting movie about the impact of fashion industry that we mention in the show: RiverBlue.

#4: Waste or feast?

Waste or feast?

Remember those old avocados you had to throw away last night? Yeah, the ones that were shipped here only to go bad and end up in your trash. They are now part of the 40% food waste that wasn’t supposed to exist in the first place.

One and a Half vegan is talking food waste with Elle, chef and food rescuer at Resursrestaurangen. Tune in and educate yourself on food waste, why it is bad and how to reduce it. Rescue your food, rescue your planet!

#3: Life of a package

Latest research on black holes reveals: “Your plastic bottle doesn’t simply disappear into a black hole just because you put it in a specially marked container before you walk away patting yourself on the back for being such a good boy”
Listen to One and a Half vegan episode #3 "Life of a package” and learn about the lifespan of different packaging materials and what to do to greatly reduce your negative footprint today.

#2: Re-use & cycle

Timi and Silviu

Second episode out! This time in One and a Half vegan we are visited by a good friend, Silviu, and we talk about circular economy. Last weekend, Timi and Silviu visited cykelköket, that bicycle kitchen - a place where you can go get, fix, improve or otherwise pimp your bike. It was quite a rainy day for a bike ride, but some moisture can’t stop us!

Find more info about the different cyckelköket in Gothenburg and elsewhere in Sweden:
