All aboard the Trans-European Indie Express!
Our third stop is Greece, commonly referred to (by over-enthusiastic high school teachers trying to breathe life into a class of bored, pre-pubescent students) as the cradle of Western civilization. Being the birthplace of Western philosophy, literature, drama and the Olympic Games, it is a country whose cultural export has entertained us for centuries. But when it comes to the international indie scene, Greek artists are still fairly unknown outside of their country.
To find out what the sirens are singing these days, we invited a Greek local, journalist and fellow coursemate Konstantina Maltepioti, to virtually guide us through the Greek indie scene.
All music featured in the show, plus many other artists that we couldn't fit into the hour, is available in our curated Spotify playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/35X19TFEWR9rTyBHiuRr4s?si=NiDm7QG_Qp67...
